McDonald’s Gluten Free Menu

Have you noticed a McDonald’s on every street corner in your area?   Most people seem to take McDonalds for granted, but for someone with Celiac Disease, if you are traveling or stuck out in public for whatever reason, having a McDonald’s nearby can be very beneficial.

In my experience, they are probably one of the best Gluten Free Restaurants because they are everywhere and they are great about disclosing ingredients on their official website.  This allows you to have options if you are stuck in situation where you don’t have any snacks with you.

Although this is subject to change, here is a current list of McDonald’s gluten free items for your reference.   Due to the nature of the fast food industry, ingredients are often changing, so you’ll also want to keep an eye on McDonald’s official website to ensure this information is still accurate (we will revisit it regularly to try to keep our list updated):

Bonus: Want to take gluten free fast food information with you on the go? We recommend the excellent Gluten Free Restaurants Guide, which is a small print guide that includes over 5,000 restaurants and 80 restaurant menu lists from many major restaurant chains. It even features a breakdown by state so you can find gluten free restaurant menu information no matter where you are within the United States!

I ordered fries from McDonalds a couple of times and had no problems; then the last time I ordered them I got violently ill from them. Think the oil may have been cross-contaminated or something…. won’t ever order them again after that….
