As a result, here at Gluten Free Fast Food, we’ve been doing our best to track down gluten free information at fast food chains to share with the Celiac community.    Below is a compilation of what we’ve found so far.  Whenever possible, we’ve provided a direct link to the gluten free menu.  In situations where one isn’t available online, we’ve instead linked to the allergen information.

    • ]]>     For those unfamiliar with Carl’s Junior, it is a burger restaurant linked to the Hardees franchise (I believe).   Although I don’t have a Carl’s Jr. in my area, this has been one of our most requested gluten free menus to date, so I figured I should see what I could find!  

    If you look on the official Carl’s Junior menu page, you’ll notice a PDF file for Allergen Information (link provided, however that link will likely break after they update their allergen information).   There you’ll find a 2 page chart of allergen information, but they only list foods that contain wheat.  

    If you are determined, Carl’s Junior also has a PDF file with their ingredient guide  (link provided, however that link will likely break after they update their ingredient guide) on their website which lists every ingredient in every item on their menu!   

    That would take awhile, however, and you would still have to worry about cross-contamination, so I will likely recommend people visit Carl’s Junior at their own risk.

    So, what yogurts at TCBY are gluten free?   According to research, the following are NOT gluten free: Chocolate Malt, Cookies ‘N’ Creme, Cheese Cake.  All other yogurts should indeed be gluten free!

    • ]]>     Have you noticed a McDonald’s on every street corner in your area?   Most people seem to take McDonalds for granted, but for someone with Celiac Disease, if you are traveling or stuck out in public for whatever reason, having a McDonald’s nearby can be very beneficial.

    In my experience, they are probably one of the best Gluten Free Restaurants because they are everywhere and they are great about disclosing ingredients on their official website.  This allows you to have options if you are stuck in situation where you don’t have any snacks with you.

    Although this is subject to change, here is a current list of McDonald’s gluten free items for your reference.   Due to the nature of the fast food industry, ingredients are often changing, so you’ll also want to keep an eye on McDonald’s official website to ensure this information is still accurate (we will revisit it regularly to try to keep our list updated):

    Note: It used to be believed that McDonald’s fries were gluten free, but over the past two years their corporate office has confirmed that McDonald’s french fries do in fact contain gluten.
